Injector Spray Patterns

Anyone with aftermarket injectors (EDM or Honed) ever
pull the head off their engine and see what the spray
patterns look like as compared to a stock injector. I'm
possibly looking into changing out my RV275 injectors
for some 1.6 EDM injectors and would like some input
on the longevity of these aftermarket injectors.

Ask AlpineRam to send you some pictures, he was running EDMs.

Longevity? I've never heard of an EDM failing. Not saying it can't happen just saying it's very rare. The EDM's (at least Don M's) are made to equal if not better than factory specs so they should last as long if not longer than a factory injector. I'd say throw the Mach 1.6's in and forget about them. Oh, your clutch is gonna start hating life.

I have some private pictures of the Mach 6 spray pattern on my pistons after the head gasket went south. Email me exactly what you are looking for and I'll see if I have a picture showing that. trucks@firepunk.com

I have some Mach 3 shots. Not the best quality but it is better than nothing I guess.

I also have a some stock injector shots from the VP-44 powered trucks.

You will see from the pictures we dont change the spray angle enough to be detecable.

I was speaking to Tim the other night and he told me about the spray pattern on his piston tops from nealry two years of running and they were right where I wanted them to be.

I will try and get the pictures uploaded today for viewing.

How much H.P. would I gain going to the Mach 1.65 ,from
the RV275 injectors. I must have injectors that are compatable
with towing. I don't want to have to constantly watch my EGT
gauge and have to back out of the power everytime I need
to climb a hill.

My roommate with a comp on 5x5 and 1.5s has EGT troubles. If he turns the comp off EGT's are not an issue.
