I hated my HRVP. SO pump and 150hp injectors will do just as well as an HRVP with 150hp injectors. Seems the only advantage the HRVP has over the SO pump is when there is no wire tap. That being said, I haven't had my ear to the ground on the VP stuff in 4 years or so.

SO is a direct swap. They say you lose a little bottom end, but you won't notice if you put new injectors in at the same time.

HRVP had a terrible idle and would surge at light throttle, and became hard to start. Once I put the p-pump on, it smoothed right out and no more surge.

thats what i really should do is p pump the f$%kin thing. so i just order the pump for the 5 speed/auto pickups? do you think 200hp injectors would be to much? im kinda thinkin they are without a better turbo. what would you say with an so pump, 150hp injectors and my setup run for hp?

I just replaced VP and added 100 hp inj's with a stock charger and edge juice, and she smokes like crazy. EGT's arent bad, but they did go up a bit. 200's may be a bit much w/o more air

I have a 2002 HO just like you DieselRebel24....

I read that the SO pump drops right in but you sacrifice all bottom end. I read someone here did it and did not like it. News to me that a set of injectors would fix the issue, wished i had known that

I JUST installed my HO vp 44 last week and it doesnt feel as fast as the truck used to.

I took the HP box off for now.

I kind of wanted to know, are you planning on just doing nozzles? This guy sells them fairly cheap, is this normal to just swap the tip instead of the entire injector???? Do we really have to buy the entire injector or can we just do nozzles and gain the same flow?

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/DODGE...Q5fAccessories

I plan on doing smarty, 125 hp injector nozzles to retain fuel economy, methanol injection, and looking at those 350.00 hx40's i see on ebay.
Id like to do twins, but not sure which turbos to do it s300 and s400?
Gonna need a clutch no matter what.
Take it easy.

sorry for the late reply. I got an HO, but looking back, i wish ida went with the SO to fit in with my eventual plans with the truck. I got JKidd's injectors, very reasonable price, and they seem to be doin all right so far
