Buy a FASS system. They are worth the extra money.

alot of people seem to like campaign pumps for the stock lift pump replacement.

I buy Holley now. Readily available around pretty much any corner.

I'd say get a FASS.
I had a dual stage system for a while - Carter/Edelbrock.

Stock Carter, but the Edelbrock was a problem. Had filtration issues, and Edelbrock specifically said they wouldn't warranty it since it was used for diesel fuel.

Walbro...easy install, way affordable, tons of fuel pressure available and it seemingly lasts forever....did I mention affordable?

Look at the Fuel Boss, it keeps the original pump in the system but runs on the mechanical pump, unless fuel pressure drops too low or the belt brakes, in that case the original pump is activated via a Hobbs Switch automatically. The FP rises with the trucks RPM instead of drops, the original pump is used in the initial priming.
