edge comp

I think that saying applies here. "If you want to play, you have to pay". I'm sure this applies. I have one on my truck for about 20K. Pressure is a hair lower than it was prior. It also is getting that much older. Not necessarily attributed to the box. I think its inevitable. If and when my does go, I'll put in a hopped up version I'm sure.

Not sure if that helps you.

Many run a Comp without killing the VP. But it can hasten the death of a dying VP. I don't think that would be a reason not to run one. If the VP is gonna die, it's gonna die.

The Comp and SC both do timing, generally not consdered to be a good idea to run two timing devices together. But some do.

I've been running my Drag Comp for over 2 years now with not the first problem. The VP will die no matter what. I'm convinced that they have a mind of their own.

you dont have to tap the wire. you can buy a stealth plate, which has a probe that goes into your VP, and then the probe hooks up to the wire that normaly you would tap. this way you dont have to tap the wire and if its still under warrenty, you can just take off the stealth plate and they will never know there was a comp on your truck. i have a stealth plate, and i have killed 2 VP's and mines still under warrenty, i would reccomend the plate though
