Exclamation I need gauges, which ones?

OK, learning alot from the websight. I now know i need to install a fuel pressure guage and monitor pressure to stay above 5psi.

what other gauges would be of GREAT benefit. I have heard of monitoring the exhaust temp. why? any others.

thanks

I have the fuel pressure gauge you need...
0-30 psi.

and if your EGT's get too high, you can melt the top end of you engine.

Keep it under 1150f before the turbo,at least pulling a load,I don't think you'd want more than about 1350f for very long (Drag racing)..I don't race so I could not tell ya for sure
I melted my piston,at about 1300f for about 2 minutes.(A nice golden brown)

You should get the fuel, EGT, & Boost. If you have an Auto you'll need a trans temp guage as well. Check out my pics in my gallery. Those are the Isspro New Dodge White from Genos garage.

Check out PureDieselPower.com they have all the gauges you need from several different manufacturers and Garrett is a great guy to do business with. Pretty much the standard gauges are EGT, Boost, and fuel PSI and then the Tranny temp if you have an auto. I personally LOVE my Optix made by Diprocol, I think they mesh with the factory gauges very well.
