I have a '91 W250 with the original automatic tranny, it has 240K on it and runs strong but...I was wondering what would be some inexpensive and easy ways to get more horse and torque out of it? it already has the pump turned up, 5 inch straight pipe and a K&N but i need more power, i do some hauling with it but it my everyday driver so i need something that wont kill my mileage too, any ideas? Thanks Kyle

I owned a 92' Dodge CTD awhile back and one of THE BEST mods I did on that truck at the time was going to the smaller 16mm exhaust housing on the HX-35 Turbocharger. As I recall, I believe your truck has the 21cm exhaust housing (which mine did also). The smaller housing really made my truck spool up alot faster and the throttle reponse was so much better too!

You can obtain these smaller 16mm exhaust housings at most any Cummins or diesel performance dealer. Here is one vendor I use alot who can get the housing for you: Scheid Diesel (Effingahm, Ill) 1-800-669-1934. Ask for Mike Wood there or you can call their other shop at Terre Haute, Indiana @ 1-800-669-1593. Ask for J.P. at that shop.
