HI I got a 1996 2500 with auto trans 5" exhaust cold air intate 4x4 410 gears gettin gauges what would be the better turbo HX40 that I all ready have or Garrett I am also installin injectors thanks

 

A little more info like what plate, GSK, AFC mods, timing, which injectors are going to be needed. Also what is your trucks purpose, daily driver, toy, hauler? Also which Garrett?

 

the truck is a daily driver , the timin is 16 ,stock plate,S&B cold air intake.the turbo Garret stage 2

 

If you fill out your signature all that stuff will automatically show up on all your posts. If you add injectors and grind your plate to a #100 you should do really well with that Garrett.

 

Which Garrett? I'm guessing an S300, but it would help to know. I'm gonna need a new turbo here once I get a GSK, Injectors, and some DV's, so I'm gonna keep an eye on this tread.

 

S300 is a Schwitzer...Garrett makes a Ball Bearing turbo kit for our trucks. I have used the Stage 2 on a 24v, but not on a 12v!

So far the Garrett's holding up fine...but it's only got a Smarty on it now, Jammer Stage 5's are on the way!
