HTT Manifolds VS ATS Manifolds

Any noticeable differences between these 2 setups? I plan on throwing a new manifold on when I get my HTB2 64/14 turbo..

Thanks!

I'd like to know also, since I still need a new manifold. Also do they help with egt's at all? Or do they need to be ported or port matched or both to help out with cooler egt's? If so, who will port one and then ship it to you?

I've heard claims of lower EGT's and better spoolup from both manufacturers.

Our manifold is portmatched and ported internally for better flow. Because of this spoolup and egt are improved. The manifold has an option of ceramic coating and a bigfoot flange for large turbos.

I have heard that the finish of the HTT manifold is nicer other than that they are about the same. Also for them to really flow anymore or decrease egt's you need to port them more than the way they come. The biggest advantage to them over a stocker is that they won't crack. If your looking for a huge performace gain your money is better spent elsewhere.

My exhaust manifold gaskets are shot.. I was told that if I take the manifold off I may not be able to get it back on due to shrinkage, and it already shows signs of it, just hasn't cracked yet.

Saw this in your website with no statement of the advantage. The benefit to me of the "bigfoot" Flange is...??

The expansion from the heat and the contraction from the cold. Heat one up to 1400* and then let it cool to 300* and after a while it will throw in the towel. The three piece variety allows the expansion and contraction to take place without cracking.

At least that's my understanding of it. I've hit as high as 1800* and my stocker isn't cracked yet.

Gotcha, that's kinda what I figured.

BD makes a 3 piece manifold too don't they? Or do they use one of the above brands for their setup?

The only thing I could think they mean is for a larger turbo flange like the pro 52 has.

Thanks.
Can't tell on their web page if it's bigger total flange...or bigger exhaust holes?? or what. Did not know some CTD turbos actually had bigger flanges.

HTT ships their manifold assembled and drilled & tapped for a pyro.

The HTT manifold isn't sent drilled and tapped. At least mine wasn't. HTT claims their manifold flows slightly better than the ATS.

My HTT came assembled and with pyro ports. I don't get the whole porting deal. The HTT matched exactly. Even the gaskets were an exact fit. I don't think it did jack for spool up EGTs but it looks pretty and won't crack. I did have to re-route the heater core hose as the stock metal tubing would not work with the HTT manifold.
