HTT Exhaust Manifold

I got my new exhaust manifold from HTT yesterday and thought I would post a couple of pics.

Oh well, I tried.
They are in my gallery if anyone is curious

I hope to install it saturday.
It has two holes drilled and tapped for 1/8" pyro but I will have to drill & tap one of them for my 1/4" probe.
I ordered it pre assembled so that should make the install a bit easier.

I might have to get one of those! How's the inside look? Is it cast cleaner than the ATS?

It seems pretty well cast and pretty smooth inside.
I will add some more pictures to my gallery

Looks nice! I'll have to add that to my never ending list of things to do to my truck.

Have you seen a reduction in the egt?

no, EGT's are the same.
I think the 12cm housing is the bottleneck as far as exhaust goes.

Those inlet ports look a lot cleaner than the ATS (at least the one I got). The ATS were pretty ragged compared. Had to grind them on down to straighten it all out.

I can't help but think you'll see an improvement in the general spool-up range (not WOT type throttle if that makes sense).

I guess the only thing different that I have noticed is that I can't hear the small exhaust leaks I had with the shrunken stock manifold.

OK, I probably should know this but I don't so I'll ask. What's the difference between the 1st gen. and 2nd. gen 12V exhaust manifold? I see HTT designating this for '94-'02. Why won't it fit my '92?

BTW, did you get the optional HPC coating? If so, how do you like it?

I don't know about the first gen's but I know they have them for the 12v & 24v.
As for the HPC coating, no I didn't spring for it. Too much money.

To put the ATS manifold on a 1st gen I've heard that you have to clearance the firewall a little. I assume the HTT manifold is the same way. It will bolt to the head, it just might take a little hammer work to get it there.
