HTT 62/65/13ss or 64/65/13ss opinions wanted?????

Im looking into getting a new turbo and need some advice about which one would better fit the bill. I dont currently have injectors but a set will run along with the new turbo. Im thinkin either new era 370s or new era 435s. I was leaning twards the 435s but am not sure which injectors and turbo would make a better running package. I really dont tow much but was thinking about installing a valet switch so that it would be possible. I know its not going to tow as well as twins but their not in the budget. I just dont want to be afraid to hook up a trailer if I need to tow. any advice is welcome and thanks in advance.

if anyone has either of these turbos I looking for experiences and opinions and also what mods you have to accompany them.

You ever thought about the 71mm wheel instead of the 65mm. I'd opt for the 62/71/13. I believe Dave Dumbar that has the Mobile Dynojet went to one after already having a Hx-35/HT3B twins and was very pleased.

If you dont tow go with the 64/71/13. 435s will do the trick, but DDP4s would be better.

Do you think I could get away with towing with the 64/65/13ss?? I just dont want to have to send my turbo out to get a new wheel put on if I decide that I want to tow with it. It is afterall a truck and I really dont want to make it so that I cant use it as one. I had thought about the 71 series turbos but the guy I talked to a HTT said it was more of a compatition charger and not really that good for street driving. I'm not sure what to do at this point. at the same time as the turbo replacement I was thinking of doing a HTT manifold at the same time.

64s have a problem with surging, especially with automatics.
Another suggestion that I hear is the cats meow is Industrial Injection Silver62. Its can make the power of a 66, but can tow like a 62.

I like the street manners of the 65 wheel better, but the dyno likes the lower drive pressure of the 71.

The magic numbers is 20 lbs of boost before 2000 rpms according to HTT. I drove my 64 for over a year before discovering how to make it surge, I had to get into it hard then let off to around 1/2 throttle around 2000 rpms to make it surge- kinda a fluke. Mike D has a 64/12 and a build auto without problems and his is theoritically more likely to surge with the tigher housing.

I think I recall seeing a 64 with downpipe in the dtr classifieds

does anyone have experiences with the 62/71/13SS?? I know the killer 71 is alittle less street manored but I thought it just started spooling a bit later. I a bit confused. The guy from HTT said I needed 100HP sticks for the 62/13 and and 150HP sticks for the 64/13, but other than that I did get much about street driving manors.

On my 98, it spools by 1600, meaning a solid 10psi of boost by 1600 and will hit 45psi very quick when your getting into it going through the gears.
