Htb2

I have the htb2 62/14. I was wondering if I should upgrade to a 64 compressor housing. Any one running a 64/12 whats better I have both exhaust housings. Would there be a big difference in power and egts with what I have in my sig? Also what boost numbers would I be running? Thanks,

Paul

I have tried the Htb2 64/14, 64/12, 62/12, 62/14 & I now am running the Super Stock 62/71/14. If you feel that a charger upgrade is due...get it upgraded to a 71 series 62 compressor. It spools like your 62/14, but hits 50lbs of boost before your turbo would hit 25psi, yet cools like a 64/14. Actually with the mods in my sig, I get 1300* wot with box on kill running 45psi boost, where a 64/14 would hit 1700. It is also more fun to drive than a 64 compressor by far....64's have way to much lag for my taste. My egts don't get over 1250* while towing 15k#...would hit 1700* before the 64/14 would spool then gradually lower after spoolup & me feathering the go pedal. Trust me the 62/71 is your best choice.

From what I've heard the 12v trucks are doing better with the 62/65/12 unless you are overfueled & running alot of timing. How much timing are you running & egts with your current mods?

Yes you can. I'm not sure of price, but I think it is around $300 for any wheel changes. These prices change daily. You would be better off to call the dealer that you ordered the turbo from & upgrade through them honestly. It is usually cheaper that way. pm me & I'll tell you who to call if you need a number.
