Good price, nice idea wishful thinking on the 500+ hp ball park. I'll be interested to see how it compares to the B1 series

I've personally seen one. A TDR member is running their first unit for testing in his truck and I can say that the pump/box/injector combination should require twins but he's able to run this unit. High Tech are great guys to deal with. (I don't have any connection with them - only a very satisfied user). Right now, I'm debating building twins or go with one of those instead.

650 HP using a turbo that size is not a good idea for long term engine durability and the life of the turbo.

Even 525 is pushing it.

I'll let ya know by the end of the week.

Got talked into buying one about 4 months ago and it's just now ready for me to pick up today.

I'm not looking for hudge gains but seeing as how I'm pushing 431hp out of a stock HX35/12 I'm sure it will be better than what I've got.

I went with it based solely on High Tech's reputation with thier other turbo's and the fact that I don't trust a PDR40 and the B1's have way too much lag for my tastes. High Tech said it will spool as good or better than my stock HX35 and that once the boost does come on I better be holding on tight.

Darrell, it sounds like your going to be a good test mule for before and after. I've got a stock 35/18.5 at 430 hp so I know were your egt's are at, you should see a big drop in those and I'm going to say 30 HP gain......let us know how it goes.

Well fellas it's sitting in my shop now.

It's purdy and shiney if nothing else.

The down pipe connector they send is a joke, it's just a peace of 4" pipe with flare on the end to clamp to the turbo. I'm gonna have to go buy a 4" 45* to weld to it and then to my down pipe. So if I'm not mistaken a HX40 down pipe would just be easier.

As far as the turbo it's not too big, just a little bigger than a 40 and smaller than a 55. It's got a 16 housing on it and one hudge waste gate actuator.

I'll get some pics later.

Here are a few pics I snapped last night.

New Turbo

I'm heading out today to get a 4" 45* to plumb the down pipe. You can see what they sell ya on the right of the turbo in that one pic, it's not much for the price. And won't cut it when botling up to a stock 35 housing.

I'll keep ya all up to date and let ya know when I install it.

Oops sorry about that. That was a little miss type on my part it should be 14cm2 not 16.

Should have it on Friday I hope, that way I can break it in on the way to the Pull in Nashville IN.

So what do you think of your's so far Wils?
