How Much Is It Gonna Cost?

How much have you all paid for ball joints installed at a dodge dealer (not under warranty) ?? I think that's next on the list of repairs. Where did you get them replaced if not at a dealer, and how much were they? Thanks for all the help guys!

check www.quad4x4.com they have some info on ball joint repairs.
Also, www.rockauto.com carries ball joints for your truck.

see, I'm not totally sure if it's the ball joints or not. When I hit a bump, small or large, and I'm not turning the wheels the truck just shakes, steering wheel and all. almost like I'm moving the wheel back and forth really quickly. I've been told ball joints are probably what it is. Anyone else had them replaced at the dealer? (thanks for the info guys!!)

What you should do is have somebody rock the steering wheel while you are under the truck. You will see what is moving (usually). It kind of sounds like your track bar is worn. That is one of the most common problems with these trucks. There are plenty of aftermarket fixes for them too.

Death wobble....most likely the track bar.

Alright so if I have the dreaded death wobble, what's the fix? What have you all done? How much was that? Where'd you get the parts....etc, etc.

As always, Thanks guys!

What Cowhand said.......the first thing to check when you have the death wobble is the track bar as it is typically the most likely cause. While balljoints can contribute to the problem they are often not the root cause. I would bet the track bar joint at the frame is smoked. Get under the truck and have someone move the steering wheel back and forth and see if that joint on the track bar is moving up and down - I bet that it is.
