How much can I expect for Twins?

Bout how much can you expect a set of twin turbos to cost? Anyone rigged a set up themselves? What turbo would go good with my stock turbo, I think its a HX35
Any input greatly appreiciated.

A complete setup $4000+. You can fab them up yourself for a lot less. Popular chargers to run with the stock charger are HT3B and Switzer S300's. You can find a HT3B for around $400 on E-bay.

On Edit: Here's a link to a S300 in the classifieds that should work good for you and it flows twice the air as the Ht3B https://www.dieseltruckresource.com/...1&cat=6&page=1

I am also curious how much boost this setup would be capable of. The DTT is going in this week so maybe its time to start looking at a set of twins.

Enough that you would need to stud and O-ring or Fire ring the head first. I'm not sure but probably around 55-65psi.

turbo

IMO your gonna want to run little more turbo than the s300, the smallest on bottom id go is a s400 with the 74mm wheel. The s300 in the classifieds was used as the small turbo in twins not the large.

Oops my bad. I thought from what I've read on other posts that people were using them as the big turbo.

I have a source for some remanufactured turbos that would make an excellent big turbo. Contact us if your interested.

Fabbing up the piping is probably the hardest part. There are several vendors out there that have this already made up and could probably save you some time and possibly money by getting them ready made. Just a thought!

An ht3b would probably be the best match for the hx35 and should run effeciently around 60-65psi.

I built my own set. I used a 35/40 hybrid on top with a ht3b on the bottom. It is fairly simple just takes time and lots of cutting fitting and patience.. I also used a 16nwg housing and a external Wastegate on top. I also have 3 pop offs set at 50 psi. I would guess that total not including the hybrid and my time I have roughly 600 bucks in it..

Anyone have an idea how a Killer b2 would work with a b2 underneath?

I'm hoping to do that with my truck once I get a little more fuel. I think the B-1 with a B-2 or Big Brother would make a really good setup, but I need more fuel to make it work efficiently.

If you're gonna put a B1 over a B2, make sure you get a KSB1 or KSB1B!! After running a Full-On B1, I'd hate running one in a twinset for ANY street driving at all!!

But once she lit (at my measly 360hp) it was a fun ride

with twins fist thing you want to look at is atleast a good set of head studs and set it to blow off at around 50psi cause much more than that you will start needing to do orings or fire rings. if you are going to drop for one of these go with fire rings i hear they hold up to more. as for the set up i would run your 35 over a b-2 its a well proven set up . there are places that you can buy the piping and stuff you need. pm idahoctd and see what he can do for you i hear he builds a nice set up for a good price. or if you feel that you are up to the challenge to weld them your self and have the tools build them your self . it can be done for cheaper than you can buy them . its nice to have a tig welder the pipes come out nicer.
