How to install theromcoupler for pyrometer???
We are not dealing with tight clearances, or high RPM at that point, nothing is gonna get hurt with chips going through the turbo. Long curls would be a bad idea, but a couple chips is nothing.
I agree the likelihood of something happening is slim (but not none), and even acknowledged the other methods have worked for other people, but why risk it if you don't have to? Especially considering just letting the engine run while drilling/tapping the manifold will take the least amount of time out of all the suggestions, and is arguably the safest method.
Just my opinion, take it for what it's worth I guess, just seemed like a no brainer to me when I did the install on my truck...

I like this idea. So, by loosening the bolts on the turbo/manifold flanges the turbo will drop just enough, or will the exhaust pipe keep it from moving?
