Ready to install my new Pyrometer... Is it a bad gauge ??

When I looked at the new Autometer Pyrometer gauge, the gauge reads 350 degrees sitting on my workbench, still in the original wrapping from the manufacturer.

Is this normal, or do you think my gauge is bad from the factory ??

Anyone else run into this before installing it, and did it still work properly ??

Just would hate to install it, and have inaccurate readings.

Thanks

I can t swear to it, but I think that is normal. I think as soon as you power it it will fall. At idle it should be around 250(low) 350 high)....

BTW, you like your trailer, I pull a 50 ft vintage outlaw, I love it.

If you don't want inaccurate readings make sure you NEVER cut the wire.

There is a resistance factor figured for the wire length.

as per ISSPRO
