how to get quad through firewall?

Got my xzt+ last night after dark, got up early today to install but dont really want to drill through the firewall, if I don't have to. So how did you guys run your harness through the firewall.

Thanks,

DuaneW.

Look at the firewall, right below the brake hydro unit there is a rubber plug where all the factory wires come through. If it doesn't fit through the hole, put a small cut in the boot & push it through.

Youre best bet is to pull the rubber grommet off and cut a bigger hole in it.

Got it installed.. now for a test.
Going to do a search on switch positions, looks like center is off? but then you have a choice of towards red or black. Anybody know which one for mpg or hp?

Center is timing setting. One side will be off and the other will be timing/fuel. Mine has white, red, and green wires with white being off and green being timing/fuel.

Regarding the firewall boot--I have all kinds of stuff ran through there and there's still room for a lot more. It's like a 4" hole if you take the boot out.

Just back from a 100 mile test drive ( ok, i'm lying, watched the end of the race before getting back on here ), looks like the mpg's are up a little, have to keep watching but I have 100+ miles and needle still touching the full mark on the gauge. Have not done good power test yet but under some moderate acceleration you can REALLY feel the kick in the but when you toggle to the power setting. So far, I'm impressed and will now have to learn the different tunes on the update page. Thanks for the quick responses this am, helped a bunch.
