Holley Blue

I did some reading on getting a lift pump and i heard alot about the holley blue??? I was wondering how well it worked on a diesel engine?

Also it came with a regulator, i dont need that do i? i should just run it straight without?

How do i run it? in between the fuel tank and the lift pump?

Or you can install a single walbro and get 18-22 idle and 11 wot with out a regulator. goin with a holley is no different than the stock.

I beg to differ, mine does 13-15 at idle and never goes below 11 at wot, before i adjusted the spring i was 20 at idle with a fresh filter. With it in tandem with the stocker i was 26 at idle and 18 at WOT. It is much better than the stocker.

If you do i recommend the big line relocation kit from vulcan, install will be much easier, and the bigger lines help. DD

My procomp black does 17 idle, 16 cruising, 16 WOT on power level 10 with my adrenaline.

Might not be killer reliable, but for 140 bucks (that's pump AND money I have into my big line kit) I'll replace these things alllllll day long.

When you hook up a pump do you bypass the stock lift pump? or go through it? When do i need to go to a 1/2 inch line?

Pull the factory pump. You'll probably never need 1/2" lines, but the price difference was next to nothing, and everything was readily available so I said screw it and did 1/2".

You can run through the stock pump in a series setup where you feed the stock pump with the Blue and get sufficient pressure without stretching the spring on the Blue.

In my opinion, that is just one more pump to go out and give you problems. Might as well eliminate the stock pump so you can steal it's wiring harness and simplify the install.

There are two metalic and one black line coming from the tank. Which line do I need to cut and put the pump in?

Just follow the line back from the fuel filter inlet side.
