Angry Help , I screwed up !

I just got done installing my Van Aaken V5. Took it out
for a test drive ,no power, boost won't go above 3 psi,
and check engine light is on. Came back home and saw
I didn't have the MAP connector pushed all the way in.
Restarted truck ,good power and boost. Check engine light
still on and code P1693 showing. Will this go away on it's own
or do I have to have the code cleared. I have good fuel press. and
checked for codes before the install of box.

Check engine light should go off after about 3 restarts.... code won't go away.... no big deal... I've got several codes on mine...

I thought I heard that you can go to Autozone
to get the codes cleared. Can they damage my
Van Aaken box if they try and clear the codes,
should I unhook it first. Now I know why the truck
was running so bad. I was getting full fueling with no
boost. It felt like a gas motor that was running extremely
rich. Stumbling and big "bog" if you gave it gas.

Nah. Take it autozone and let them clear it. They won't hurt your box.

If you don't want autozone to do it, just take off both negative battery cables and let it sit for 30 minutes. That should erase all your codes. And your radio stations.

Well the check engine light is off now. I guess I can
wait on getting the codes cleared, since I know I was the
one who caused it. I going to drive around this weekend
and report Monday what I think of the Van Aaken V5 box.
So far feels pretty good !
