heater grid removal

just wondering what the cons of removing the heater grid on my truck would be

if it gets below freeze there a little hard to start

You live in Colorado? That would be a great mistake, in the cold climate you live in. Really hard to start on those cold mornings.
Why do you want to take it out anyways?

A guy was talking about replacing his grid with one of Olee's power blocks just a couple weeks ago. Definately not a good mod for daily drivers in cold climate though.

I asked the same question before, but for me it doesnt matter because of my climate. The consensus was that they dont free up any power anyways so I left mine.

That seems like a pain in the butt, compared to sitting in your truck and starting it with the grid heaters. Because if you use ether, you need 2 people- 1 to spray, and 1 to crank.
That's alot of stuff that is unnecessary.

I Leave Mine in the Shop.... Nope not a good idea at all if you dont have a shop.... and some dang good batteries. It helps to stay plugged up too!

That's the way I always did it. I had a friend with a 6.9 IDI that in it's later years needed a stream to start, that took 2 guys. But it was just a ranch truck that ran once or twice a month, so not a big deal.

I dont run one my self i took the spacer and all out , i couldnt tell a difference u might c 5 hp on a dyno if that
