FP gauge install

Got my Isspro fuel pressure gauge and ran around town to get valve, tubing and associated connectors. Plan to come off bottom of fuel filter with banjo bolt, valve and then tubing to gauge. Do I need to bleed the nylon tubing to the gauge (and how?) or will a little air in the line be a problem? Am I overlooking anything? Any tips or tricks? Thanks.

You don't have to bleed it. A little air acts as a cushion. Eventually the line will fill with fuel.

Are you a 12-valve or 24-valve? If you're a 12-valve, make sure you open the needle valve just a hair (just so the gauge gives a reading, that's all you need), or your fuel gauge will not like you. The pulsations on the 24-valvers, don't seem to be that bad, at least not on mine.

No need to bleed the line... The air has no bearing on the pressure reading.

You need to install a needle valve in the system and bearly crack it open like maybe a 1/4 turn if that...

Check out my web page for some tricks...

Took me 3 trys to get fuel pressure gage working
without ' diesel' noise in cab.

1st: Adapter at pressure sense port with 1/8 copper line to
the small 30 psi gage ( autometer )
" TOO much noise in cab.

2nd Change line to Flex braided hose, still to much noise.

3rd Got a Bigger banjo fitting from 'Geno's, with a taped
hole for a bayonet fitting, Rubber fuel injection hose
from fitting to firewall, ( installed a cut off bolt
shoulder with a small hole drilled in it ,inside the hose for a snubber )
Changed to the 1/8 copper line at the firewall,
mounted the gage with a hose clamp( the kind with
the rubber cover) under the top right corner of the
dash glare shield, AND, NO NOISE>
