head spinning faster than TURBO????

Well I spent the better part of 4 hrs reading posts on turbos and almost all of them turned into wars over venders products and I was still unable to make heads or tails of the right turbo for my application. Problem being most talk was this turbo for this HP and that turbo for that HP but since I have no idea on what HP I have I still dont know any more than I started (even more confused)Thru all the reading I have done the general gab is the KSB1 is the toughest and the HX40 is the fastest but I still dont know if either are to big or not for my application. All I know with the Comp on 5x5 from a light, I hit 1400deg before I can say "I NEED A BIGGER TURBO" so can any one with a early 24v/comp and DD2s enlighten me with some real world examples?
Thanks

Dude , I did the same thing about two months ago and all i did was I got a turbo from ats and installed it. Next thing I know my truck has low egts and tons of boost.I' m not a super tuner ethier but now my truck runs like it. Unfortunatly the turbo I choose is no longer available for some reason

Any way I hope this helps lift the fog some. If you dont Know what to expect than its hard to be disapointed and very easy to be pleased.

A hybrid 35/40 might work for you. If not, I think a PDR 40 should. But then again, you can't go wrong with any of the B-series.

I'm running a pdr hybred 35/40 & I'm happy with it. I dynoed at 332hp with my set up. I would think you maybe around 350hp.

I will call Piers on monday if hes back from Vegas and see what he says. I was just hoping to hear from people that have allready been down this road and hear about the results including their personal take(likes/dislikes)There is probably over 10 options and probably 100x that for opinions but I was hoping to come up with a few common denoms so keep them commig guys. Thanks

Call any or all of the major vendors.
Tell them what you have, what you're looking to accomplish, what your future plans for new Mods are, and let them edjumakate 'ya.

The good ones know what their products can do.
