Today at a light a guy on a hardly davidson was next to me and when the light changed I hit .I think i took him off gaurd but buy the time i hit 3rd he was a carr length in front of me and when i hit 4rth he was next to me.when i hit 5th he was in my mirror. this dude was shocked that a pick up could out pull him. He asked me "what the he!! did you do to that thing?!?!". I said "just a new air filter." Any way just thought i would share my latest kill.

Congrats on the win.

PS: The guy sounds like he needs to learn how to ride.
I can dust a stock 5.0 'Stang with my Geezer-Glide.

If you could dust a Harley chances are it wasn't a big bike. But who knows, the power of a cummins engine is very remarkable

Whether or not it was a small bike, for a truck to outrun ALMOST any bike is awesome. Congrats.

Heck Bike or truck it was purely a driver not tryin or just screwing around.

the 883 is one of the top 3 HDs ever made as far as speed. When your truck is running 12s let me know.... youl also hold the fastest truck title.

if the guy was driving a truck at the best it was a 2000 NA motor. Thats like bragging you beat a stock F150....

EIther way If you lined up against bike, SC truck, and the rider was trying you were not going to smoke a "REAL" HD

My truck from a 50 mph punch will suck the paint off of my 2002 Electra Glide. And pulling a hill my truck will beat my Electra Glide. I've got the stage one kit on it but it still won't run with my Cummins. Top end my truck will out run my bike. A HD dresser unless it has had some work done is not that fast.

your bike will let you run the 1/4 mile in only 13.8 seconds. Now htis is not blazing fast but by performance standards that is a very fast truck.
It will also yield a roll on of only 6.51 seconds from 60-80. I have to say that is also faster then your truck will do.

I never mentioned your Fully loaded dresser as compared to a sporty, but even then according to my records you have to be pumping out some ponies to even hang with your bike... and these are for a stock bike. Modded with a stage 1 I think your bike SHOULD fair better.Oh and top end your bike will do 113. Also evry good for a fully loaded dresser.

That maybe on paper but not on the bike! IT WILL NOT do 113mph it will do 108 with a tail wind! I've had my truck to 117. 60-80 my truck will beat it. Stock my bike put out 52 hp to the ground now w/ stage 1 maybe 55-56hp it weighs with me on it 1000# My truck weighs 7100# 310-325 hp. so power to weight ratio is close. If you have a FAST dresser don't mess with a mustang and sure don't mess with a vette you will get embarrassed. Some of the fastest HD's I've ridin with will only run 135 they get there pretty quick but that's it. If you see one of those new Goldwings pass ......let it go! Those things will fly! A friend of mine with a Road Glide a fast Road Glide got taken to school by a guy in shorts and a flowerdy shirt and a cup holder on his bike. Of coarse we never mention it!

As a side note if your not going to get the Big bore kit I wouldn't waste my money on the stage 1 kit it really didn't help that much.

the stage 3 is the only way to go on any bike. ANy of the biggerr bore screamin eagle kits.

The dressers are really not fast at all...

the sporties, and older FXR were and is king of HDs.. THe Vrod is up their but not the same league as what I am talking about here with air cooled bikes....

I have one of the few 10 second street ridden harleys in the country......in fact it is only a little "GIRLY" sportster.....

A buddy of mine, Mike Acton, was AHDRA Pro Mod Champion a few years ago with a Sportster.......(Well it DID start out with Sportster cases before it was punched out to 117 Cubic Inches

A Harley Bagger is about the only thing on earth less aerodynamic than a brick.

With the full size windsheild, mine will top out at 92 MPH.
Now Old Blue is a WHOLE different story.........

12's is far from the fastest truck title. Its becoming more and more common now days to see trucks in the high 12's. The only "official slips" I have for my truck are low 13's.....but I haven't been to the track since last year.

thank to all of you for responding.Holeshot, the guy didnt know my intentions until about second gear so he was behind on take off.no doubt that any bike could launch harder than my big pickum up.As soon as he did start racing my truck was at full boost and he could not pass me,in fact i was pulling him.the real race was from 20 to 80 mph and there was no question that this guy was in fact running his hog way hard.he didnt let off the throttle in between shifts and was totaly ****** that my truck could pull his Hardly Davidson.

BTW my brother has an 87 grand national that does 13.5 all day.His car can beat almost all 600cc sport bikes {stock of course} and has never been out runn by a Harly Davidson. Just my true experince here in New Mexico.

My dad's vette can click off high 12's and even he won't mess with a grand national. You just never know what those suckers have got.
