got some interesting info. from superchips
I emailed tech support @ superchips asking some questions, 1 of the questions is: Will the performance gains be applicable if you are running a fueling box at the same time, i also made it very clear that at least my box does not do anything w/ timing...their reply: " our system is not designed at all to work w/ any other product as you have" Not sure if this is just a "disclaimer" so to speak, I just wanted to share their feedback...(actually, i hope their wrong and from the other posts i've read and the people that are using them it seems to work OK) They didn't comment on what the tuner actually changed though..

I'll throw in my experience
(since I couldn't find the other thread talking about superchips)
A buddy lent me his this last weekend, so I went ahead an loaded up the highest perf option.
Didn't really seem to add anything, seat of the pants wise.
Engine noise seemed a little different, I assume this was from the timing change.
Exhaust seemed to smell a little different.
I did manage to slip my tranny at the drag strip, but since it was my first time, don't know if it would happen without the tuner.
All in all I wasn't impressed, and will use my hard earned money on an Edge product when that time comes.
Stumbled across another thread on the same subject.

Most of the comments I've read about the tuner have been good though,
that's why I took him up on the loaner offer.
He had been running it "stacked" with a comp and had noted a difference, seat of the pants.
I guess what's been said is true.
Every truck is different.
This statement applies to a lot of things aftermarket, boxes, wheels, tires, lifts, etc, etc, etc.

Re:got some interesting info. from superchips
My shop has dyno'd some of thoes turners and we only saw a 10 hp difference. and that was on the thrid case we tried. The first two cases we had we would only see about 3 hp on the dyno. So from what I have seen it is very hit or miss on getting a turner to give you the advertised power.
