Got New Aeromotive FP Regulator

Got the Aeromotive Adjustable Reg. #AEI-13301 My Reg pump and the pusher was pegging my 16 psi guage and I thought it was doing like 20 psi so I got this. At first I got it to be stable at 15 psi at idle but you see in the pic, the vaccume port, it is for stableizing the PSI. at first it was fluctuating between 14-15 all the time even under WOT. Now with the vaccume attached, I had to readjust the spring but now the PSI drops on acc. Only revved in the driveway on this but seems like it should work good. It is adj. from 3-20 psi by a screw in the top and I ran a return line to the prefilter I have behind the pusher.

This is my prefilter with a WIF sensor and also a sensor for alerting me when the filter is clogged. The red handled valve is for changing the filter also serves as a good anti-theft device.

Re:Got New Aeromotive FP Regulator

Have an update.

The PSI was about 15 and it was fluctuating between 14 and 15 on my setting. If you look at the pic, there is a vaccume port. I hooked this to the manifold up by the hood edge for the HVAC systems and put vaccume to the unit. had to readjust the spring setting but Now it is rock steady. Setting was at 15 and when I took off from a light, it would go down to 14 then at cruise, even freeway, it went back to 15. WOT was also at 14 to 14.5. so this is working very well. Now even the pusher pump has a small head preassure so it dont have to draw hard the diesel......

Re:Got New Aeromotive FP Regulator

Gary,
Got the Reg. at Summit. #AEI-13301 Was $109 + ship. $117 total.....

I put the reg off the flow area, I have a line from the stock Pump coming up to a "T" and then back to the filter. On one leg of the "T", the non flow area, The hose goes to the reg. and then to the FP sender unit.

There is a Member on TDR that has had this on for 2 yrs and Summit Tech said they have not had anny problems with diesel in this unit.
