Good Source For Electric Fuel Pump?

I checked my fuel pressure today and it is 10 psi at idle, not good. Where is a good place to find a reliable replacement to put back by the tank? I had thoughts of using a Ford pump and regulating it down to 18psi but maybe you guys have a better solution. My truck is still under warranty and would qualify for the new warranty pump they are putting in the tank but i have heard it is not much better on the pressure end. I am new to the dodge cummins so help for a rookie would be great.

The best solution is a FASS or FASS 2. Cheap pumps do not last very long at all.

but on the FASS and FASS2 the warranty is 4 years. I doubt there is any warranty on any of the pusher pumps. The bttom line is, "You get what you pay for", JMO.

Welcome to the DTR!

If you don't have a FP gauge....install one. You can live with 10 psi for a while, just don't let it get below 5 psi+/- when accelerating.

Start saving for the FASS II. Last pump you will ever need.

Other option is a new Lift pump for around $165.00. I know of a used LP,putting out 15 psi, with 10,000 miles on it, for $75.00. PM me if interested.

Nothing wrong with 10 Psi. If you would like to install another pump, try a Holley blue for $108. Do a search on here. There are lots of happy people that have em. I have stated this before, but it is my personal opinion that the FASS is totally unnecessary and a grossly overpriced example of disingenuously marketed snake oil.

http://www.summitracing.com has the line of Holley and Carter electric pumps, for a reasonable price. http://www.jegs.com also carries them. HTH.

Thanks for all the ideas, i will probably go with one of the cheaper solutions mentioned above. I got carried away on modding my last truck and i am really trying not to get the bug on my new truck.

Yes, it is grossly overpriced - but its certainly ISNT snakeoil. I know your opinion on the FASS/FASS2 subject, BUT If you spring for the FASS it actually takes the air out of the fuel system. IMHO, the air in the fuel is a major contributor to the fuel system problems in the second gen 24V's. You cannot prevent cavitation with a Holley Blue/Black pump. JMO.
