Well, heres my story......
I had a "smoothie" installed and then went out and installed a sub box under the center portion of my front seat. Man. it sounded AWESOME! When to go for a ride and oops, the console now sits 2" higher than stock!
Shifter hit the "smoothie". S%#t! No problem I say.......... Spent $175 on a "Whiplash" shifter to be able to use my $30 Cup Smoothie. Crazy? Yea maybe a little. 
On edit: just for Marty... $149 for chrome "WHIPLASH" shifter... darn spell check!
