my truck has 4:10 gears now would i get a significant amount more milage if i had 3:92's ? i know my in-laws truck has 3:56's and gets along fine pulling a 35' fith wheel just checking

Never heard of 3:92's.........but no you would notice much if any. Now if you dropped from 4.10's to the usual stock 3.54's then yeah, you'd notice a pretty healthy difference.

You would for sure see a difference if you switched from 4.10 to 3.54, especially towing. You would be lower in the tach, but in comparison it would feel like the truck is straining to keep a load moving in the higher gears.
my in-laws have walked off and left trucks pulling smaller campers with similar trucks before and we don't pull that far 200 mi is the farthest last year he seems to to have plenty of power
I had 3.92s in my previous vehicle a '97 dakota 5-speed 4x4 318 Club Cab...good gear for that little 318 to pull stuff.....but its nothing...and I mean absolutly NOTHING when compared to my current truck.
