Gauges,

Good evening gentleman, I'm looking to install more gauges, do I go with the combo exhaust/boost or with the singles. I want to install them on the A-pillar and will probably go with the Westech from geno's. I would appreciate yall's expert opinions. ;D

Re:Gauges,

FC...I have a preference to style and brand..however, to avoid a gauge war, I'll only coment on style..I like the individual 2-1/16" gauges the best, better lighting, larger display, and in my chase, tracking 2 different reading on the same gauge is a little difficult IMO. The other type is digital or LED, they are nice an accurate, maybe toooo accurate and I get dizzy watching the numbers flash up & down. It's bad enough for me to look at a digital alarm clock, telling me its time to get up ever second.. When I'm trashing down the roads, I only need to know enough information for my poor little brain to absorb, and keep the other eye on the road. I'm not intrested in how hot the truck is to the exact degree, somewhere in the RED lined area when occasionally the needle lands there,I know this is no good(EGT's) and take some immediate correction action. The only time I ignor that mental command is when I'm racing a FURD. I don't even need to know exactly what my boost pressure is, my external wastegate and blow-off valve, lets me hear that, and finally the only other gauge, the most important of them all is the fuel pressure gauge. If you don't got pressure, all the other gauges won't help you get started again.

Re:Gauges,

I have Fuel Pressure, Boost, EGT, and Transmission temp in my truck. All digital. I love the digital. I've got high and low warnings signals for them and they are extremely fast and accurate. You can also tell what the numbers are without even looking. I love digital.

Are we psychic now?

Perhaps the display is in braille?

Why not?! Even drive-up ATMs have Braille on the numbers...

Re:Gauges,

FC,
Try here Dakota Digital.

edit: I browsed around there and they have a Truck Instrumentation section and in it they only list Ford and Chevy??? I thought at least one person on this board was running these on his Dodge (Big Blue I think).

Re:Gauges,

FC,
Here is another link: Digital Gauges
This is a vendors website for SPA gauges.

Here is Spa's website: Spa (It takes a bit of navigating to get to the "instrumentation" section)

Re:Gauges,

What I meant by saying you don't even have to look at the numbers to read them is that you don't have to turn your head and look at the gauges. You can read them perfectly fine out of your peripherial (sp) vision. And yes, I'm psychic.
