No, the 1996 is mechanical, hence there's no power module to "command", though you could use the gauge features, i suppose.

Does anyone have a picture or a digram where to install the sender unit for transmission gauge on a manual 1996 12 valve. gauges is made by auto meter

Istaling my gauges soon and i am still confused on where thr transmission gauge sender goes and how to wire the gauges into the lighting.

I wired my lites to the back side of the fuse panel. Once you pull the bolster under the steering wheel you get at it pretty easy. Find the instrument panel fuse and tap into the lead from the fuse panel. Make sure you are on the fused side, IE use a test light and pull the fuse to find which pin is the hot feed. Then tap the other pin for power. This way you have the dimming feature with the dash lights.

Alright thanks take a look tommarow. but on my transmission sender am i going to have to tap in the trany pan or is there an eaiser way to do it?
