Autometer replace my bad pyro for free-- and upgraded me to a NV series with the better lighting, even!

Even if their guages are just so-so, I'd buy them again because of the good customer service I received.

isspro are great and cheap as well. i had hell installing mine (maybe just unlucky) i would recommend paying someone to install them for you. i ran the fuel in to the gauge and by passed the isolator for a more reliable fuel pressure reading. i used vulcan and he was the cheapest but the lines and fittings were a poor quality.

not necessarily....

If your manual is heating up all that much....you've got bigger problems.

I'd just go with a 3 pod with Pyro, Boost and FP.

Ok thats what i am going to do. Do you have any idea how i could wire those gauges into my power so they can be dimmed by the dimming switch on the truck. Also where does the fuel pressure gauge plug or tap into? thanks Sam.

not sure about the FP gauge, as I am having mine put in right now.

As for the dimming, tap the wire right at the switch for the lights.....not sure which one, but ATS put in my first set and it dims with the switch....I have a 98 though so I'm not sure, but I think its the same idea.

For a 12 Valve, the fuel pressure gauge is really not a big requirement unless you are running huge fuel.. The mechanical fuel pump is not a failure point as typical as the 24V engine. Pyro and Boost is good enough. If you are a heavy hauler with your deck, tranny temp wouldn't be so bad, or even rear diff temp if you want to get fancy..

That will teach me to read all of the sig. for the original poster!!!!

You should be fine with those two gauges unless you want to get the diff and/or trans like suggested above.

Either way, you'll find yourself staring at the gauges, so remember.....watch the road every couple of seconds too

For the manual tranny you would have to tap the tranny cap plates for the PTO for mounting your sensor, bearing in mind not to hit the gears... The plates would be thick enough to tap the NPT thread for the bushing for the sensor I would think.. If anyone has some pics, it would be good
