Fuel Pressure

Buying a fuel pressure guage. What's the highest pressure I will ever see? Also installing Walbro 392. Pump went BOOM Could the lift pump go bad without takeing out the VP? New to the game, trying to save money with no success. Wife say's no more money for the Dodge .

I know that last statement too well! I have a 30 psi gauge, and read 14-20 on it with my Walbro GSL392 and Swagelok bypass. The VP can survive if the LP isn't dead too long or the VP is a recently remanufactured variant with upgrades, but the chances of ot being 100% is slim. Mine was damaged after driving 15 miles on a dead LP. The VP didn't give up the fight though, and I replaced it after 18 months of reduced power, mileage, and limited dead pedal syndrome. So far, my Midwest Fuel Injection pump is doing well, as is the Walbro system I put together.

Thanks for the words from the wise. Love my truck and don't want it to become a bottomless pit. Looks good, sounds good and diesel is even cheaper than gas, can't argue with facts like that. Thanks again!!
