fuel plate question

I have a 1994 automatic and I installed a #6 ATS fuel plate and noticed a huge increase in power, but I am going to turn in back to stock because I don't have any gauges. Once I get gauges I will put it back on. The question I have is: can I use the boost elbow that came with the kit with my stock plate and if I can where do I postion my plate? Also where is the crankcase vent tube? Is it the tube located below my fuel filter? Thanks a lot.

When you installed the #6 did you scribe the position of the stock? If so I would return in back to there to be safe until guages. The vent tube is on the Drivers {corrected} side, the hose you are looking at is the drain off of the fuel filter. I used to own a 94 auto and it is going to be hard driving for you now as you have had a taste of what it can do. I would recommend you trade in that #6 for a #10 and when you get gauges also do the 3gsk kit, retime and then you will need more air in and get the exhaust flowing. Then guess what? It is time to start saving for a tranny!!!!! Goodluck,,Rick

The engine vent tube is on the drivers side, The fuel drain is 1/4"ID and the engine vent is 1"OD clear plastic tubing. There close together but the vent is the long one thats all oily.

I don't understand why you want to take the plate back out because you don't have gauges. I had a "6 in my truck before I had the #4 in it. All I can say don't worry about the EGT's with the #6 in it, so with that being said just leave it in. I never had an EGT problem and I don't think you will. I had gauges in the truck and never saw the temps go over 950 and that was towing a camper up a long grade.

Just my .02

fuel plate

alaskanassassin,
IMO, The trans & converter are next in line for our auto's. The first step is spend a little now to save spending a lot later. I like my triple disc converter to put the power to the ground. Plus, it saves the trans for more ground pounding to come later.
Then reinstall that plate, 3,000 gov. & afc spring kits. Do the timing to 15-16. Dump the elbow & go with a 16 manifold. When this is done go play with your new toy.
The oil tube is easiest to see due to the oil coming out when you stop & its the larger one.
Now have fun & play hard.
