Fuel Plate

I installed a #10 plate in the stock position, afc houing ahead, star ahead. When I step on the loud petal I have to be easy, If it goes to far it takes off like a rocket. If I slide it to the rear would this cure the problem and have enough fuel to the eng?

Yes you could slide the plate back and it would be fine.

You can put it anywhere you want. Plate position will only make a difference if your at fuel throttle the govenor arm only contacts the plate at this time. The starwheel adjusts the preboost fueling, the afc is more of a dramatic change in the midrange power. Everything forward isn't always the best idea.
