Fuel fitting thread size?

I have been looking for two hours so I finally gave up and am just going to ask. Does anyone know the thread size for the VP44 fuel inlet and for the fuel filter inlet/outlet? I want to change my fittings/line size but have been unable to locate the fittings outside of a kit that has parts I don't need. Even thought I could locate or fabricate the adapters locally if I knew the thread size.

What do you mean by that??? The Vulcan kit has everything you will need and no extra parts.

If you dont want to relocate the lift pump to the frame (not sure why you wouldnt want to do it)....the kit is like $63. I think it will be very hard for you to put this kind of quality together for this amount of money. Its dirt cheap and a complete kit...all you have to do is install it - theres nothing to figure out and you dont have to run all over town trying to source bits and pieces. JMO.

Maybe I misread the Vulcan kit info. I have a Holly Blue pump that is mounted by the tank and the Vulcan kit said it was for the stock pump on the block. I thought that the Holly and stock pump had different threads on them so the Vulcan kit fittings for the pump would not work and I would have to buy more fuel line to bet back to my pump from the filter. The fuel line is not a big deal, but I didn't want to buy fittings for the fuel pump that I could not use. I think the Holly fittings are 3/8" NPT. I don't remember what the stock pump fittings are.

The stock replacement pump has 12 mm x 1.5. If you buy the same pump from summit/aftermarket I believe it comes with 3/8" threads.

The vulcan kit comes with straight fittings , which make for some obnoxious hose routing to keep the hose from kinking. should have been 90s.

The fittings are also single barbed, double or triple barbed are much better to prevent leaks and weeps.

But it definitely flows

I have one of eric's (Vulcan) first kits, the parts were hand machined and had less of a barb and did not have those killer clamps of the current production kits.....I never had a leak. period. I agree tha 90's would be easier in the install...but only marginally and a straight fitting is always indexed correctly w/o over tightening to get it just right. I would give eric a call and discuss your needs with him he may have just what you need or can possibly build you what you want, he does good things with a lathe and mill for a darn fair price I can't speak for him but if you have custom ideas you should give him a buzz he'll treat you right.

My Scotty Smart Flow system has 90's that are easy to index. You hold it the way you want it to point and tighten. These are push lock fittings with no need for clamps. An alternative that is very easy to work with.
We do sell parts of the kit seperately for the Do it yourselfer needing the metric to - 8 JIC fittings including the steel/rubber washers. A tapped fitting for fuel pressure is also available. The smart flow fuel kit also includes the fuel pressure kit with needle valve and adapters for ease of fit. PM or email for details. Complete kits are available here in the online store.
