First Slip of the 13 Con OFE. 40k

We'll, I wasn't expecting this to happen this early on. Pay to play i guess heehee. I don't tow, just running around empty most days. 430hp on a load dyno, 411 hp on a dynojet. Been running like this for 3 yrs now.

Today, Some guy was running 40mph on a 2 lane 60mph hwy, I was in 4th, punched it, no problems, got around to passing lane, shift to 5th, let the clutch engage, foot to the floor, then about 2200 rpms clutch lets go to about 2500 rpm's, you can hear the rpms sharply rise. I knew immediately what happened and I got out of it really quick, but not quick enough, as I got on it again, and she slipped again. I got passed the slow poke, but that wasn't what I was expecting to happen.

It happened once in 4th about 2 weeks ago, I for sure I thought I lost tire tractions. But today to make sure I got to a open area, 60mph in 5th, and foot to the floor pretty good, slipped at 2200 to 2400rpm again. Dang. Ran around about 5 miles to cool the tranny down, got to a parking lot, sure enough good ole smell of clutch. Here I thought maybe she's breakn the tires loose?!?! darn the luck haha.

I'm sure I glazed it, if not did some damage spinning it today. I turned my valet valve on, so shes at about 290hp, she holds solid in 4th and 5th, punched foot to the floor from low rpm's up.

I changed the rear main seal last time, theres no sign on oil on the bottom dripping wise. I'm guessing though some oil is on the plate. I surely expected that clutch to last 150k. Hell if Tomeyguy can run 550+ on a con ofe, I'm sure I can run 400 on it.

Guess I'm gonna have to derate the thing to get the remainder of the miles out of it for a while.

Save up for a SB Dual Disk/input shaft. weeeeee!

13 SB Con OFE has been a solid product for me, I'm a true SB fan, its just problably oil on it, as I'm not a clutch abuser, always start in granny and match rpms to shift etc. Here I thought I'd been babying this thing for all this time.

You guys have an ideas overall why she slips?

Smokn the dude was still the best part

Sounds to me like oil on the flywheel. Did your tranny seal let loose this time? What kind of oil do you see there??
