FASS Question
VP's dead, so I'm looking at doing a Fass at the same time, as well as the DTT trans!!!!
Question:
Should I run the stand alone pump and use my existing filter (cheaper filters)?
or
Should I go with a filterd system that bypasses the factory filter (more expensive filters)?
What are you guys doing?
Any one know if the MWFI kit for 1600 is for the stand alone or for the bypass?

Its a matter of personal prefrence. If you do some searching im sure you could find the fass filters for less. I found the fleet guard filters for my air dog to be less than factory filters just depends on your source for them.
I bypassed mine, the high end filters are more expensive however last a LOT longer(unless you run some bad fuel). Make sure you mount it to the frame rail(FASS IS LOUD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!). I sort of wish I went with an Airdog cause they have a lifetime warranty now along with being quite a bit cheaper than the Fass. You gotta love family feuds
Umm, maybe i'm not understanding you very well, but you can get a complete fass system for $664 at vulcanperformance.com free shipping too. Airdog is an equal product for $100 less. Like fishintodeep said. It's all your choice what you want to do. I like the complete system.

If you can do the FASS, it’s worth the extra expense. It continually circulates the fuel through the filters (polishing it if you will), removes entrained air, can run up to 50,000 miles on one filter. Also any unit that was made in 2008 carries a lifetime wnty as well.
The package deal, based on the price you posted, I would think be the full FASS. Might call them and ask.
The HPFP is a great pump if you are looking for a solid lift pump to replace the one you got. AND if made in 2008, lifetime wnty.
Anyone that says our systems are loud have not heard out new ones with the noise update.

I have the Fass 95 pump on my truck. It s not loud at all, not that you can hear it over the motor or the stacks.lol. I did intall a rubber isolator between the pump and the bed rail. I also kept the factory fuel filter, Im no used to changing it now so it doesnt matter to me. When I first installed my pump I was at 19psi at idle and 15 at wot, now almost 40k later idle is 15-16psi and wot is about 12. The air dog wasnt out when I got mine, I wanted it cause it has a 6 year warranty. Its all up to you Im sure they are all good products but I have nothing but great things to say about my FASS pump!!
