FASS from LIPD on the way

I ordered a 95/95 FASS system from LIPD today, coming tomorrow, hope to install by the weekend, as soon as the tank gets a little lower. Is there anything i should look out for while i am doing the install?

Pretty straight foreward. The only thing I can think of is needing an angle drill to drill the frame holes for the bracket. Also, be sure to catch the fuel in the old line in a bottle or something or you'll have a diesel mess under there. Don't ask how I know.

Yea i done the same thing and just knew their was a leak, It was just the fuel coming out of the stock line. Crobtex is right on with tha angle drill, It makes it a lot easier.

Recommend you pass on the QD at the tank fitting, and clamp the hose on, although someone has posted that the lousy QD problem that the FASS kits had has been fixed......

Pull the fuel line from the tank first, and route it into a collector bucket, so when you pop the line off of the VP it doesn't drain all over the driveway

A little pre-reading for ya.......

Use a heat gun and tons of WD-40 on the push locks. Will make them easier to install.

Thread sealant on all the pipe connecitons.

Get some zip ties........

Other than that......pretty stright fwd......

No need to drop the tank; The fittings on top of the tank are a bit of a hassle to get to, but going that route so is probably a LOT easier than dropping the tank.

If you don't have a FP gauge, NOW is a good time to get one set up!
