The tip doesn't add any HP but looks great.

What ????? You dawg, you told me that tip added 42 HP
Anyway, we've sold a variety of systems over the past couple years, and I can honestly say that the DPP system is easily the best of the bunch. We haven't sold one of Mark's dual pipe exhausts yet, but if its coming out of his shop, its going to be well built.
And if you decide to go stainless, don't listen to the competition. Go with the 0304 stainless system. Its going to run you a few bucks more, but its worth every dime.

Re:Exhaust Upgrade
Viper sbt - I would suggest not getting the aeroturbine muffler. zero performance, no mpg gain. The sound is good above 1600 rpm, but VERY loud. There is a ricer "BBBRRRRRRRAAAAAPPPPPPPPP" sound right at 1500 which vibrates the truck. It is so loud at this point that you can here the truck (through the woods and over the hills) for 1/2 - 3/4 of a mile. This is no exaggeration.
I have to drive by a friend's house every day and I baby it by there as not to disturb them. Yesterday at work, He said "you really need to do something about that ricer exhaust you have."
Yeah I know!
want to replace it with straight through muff, but do not know what to get........ ??? ???
Wife ain't goin' for a full system!

if you are refering to me, I am not upset. Just explaining my results
Happy exhausting.....
Big cummins - looks like a good price, need to get more specs on it though. Do your research....as you can see, I did not.
bottom dollar isn't always the best thing.

ViperSBT,
Think twice about buying anything from Banks - they have decent products but equally good or better products can be had for way less. You pay a LOT for the Banks name.

I guess I must have found a good deal on my 4" stainless Banks Monster Exhaust. At the time, it was the least expensive 4" stainless system I could find. I guess they sell now for about $635 for the same one I have. It seemed like the thing to do at the time.

Re:Exhaust Upgrade
the best price i've found for banks exhaust is turboandchrome.com - plus free shipping and no tax. BOTTOMLINE, banks makes the best 4" - trust me, i've wasted countless hours researching and the exhaust is ENGINEERED the best (their mandrel bends are the best). your not buying just a bunch of pipes, hangers and an off-the-shelf muffler. i just think their in house sales reps are "money grubbers" and their service after the sale sucks! the monster exhaust is the ONLY thing i would buy from banks. far better products exist for every other aftermarket component.

how do i get more specs for this exhaust, i already have my spare tires out....simply cuz if i got a flat my tires are 35" and the stock spare will do nothing, so i am not worried about the spare tire deal..., what else do i need to look for?

Re:Exhaust Upgrade
looks like you may have to call them. :
ask about the muffler, kind, size, etc....
what type of stainless is it?, mandrel bend? are the hangers welded? are the hangers stainless? ect.....
Is this universal kit for long and short bed? any field fit required? Important if you are installing it yourself.
You will learn which exhaust has all of the details covered
304 stainless is the best without skyrocketing the cost.
Hope this helps,
John
