Drone Cure
dncoy,
We are just finishing up a 18 inch stainless resonator that from all testing seems to have the drone problem that some systems have worked out. It needs to be installed as far forward as possible and on some trucks we get comments that it makes the system too quiet. They should be shippable by the 15th or so of August.

I am going with a 4" SS exhaust system from MBRP as they are not to far from my place and I dont have to go through all the hassle of crossing the border and such. I was wondering if that blanketing that the big audio guys use for their cars or trucks would work for reducing sound inside the cab. I think it is called dynomat or something along those lines. If not I will have to go with them lead sheets...

You can try installing an Aeroturbine in the system as far forward as possible. This seems to take care of the problem . Sometimes just moving the muffler to the front can help as well. The other advantage of installing an Aeroturbine is it can help lower EGTs even more than the 4" exhaust and really sounds great.
hmmm,,, muffler is already way up front,, will the new resonator work right next to it?? what will the price be and also i have an aluminized system will it work with that?? thanks for all the ideas going to get on it this weekend!
