eng making very loud noise

hey all if you have any info please respond. my 95 dodge cummins is making very loud knocking pinging noises? i went to start up this morning and was noticably louder than usual . it wasnt to bad &went to work, when i got home even yelling at my buddy he still couldnt hear me .ive checked the valves ,,a few were slightly loose , tore into kdp but its still intact, oil is clean ,coolant is clean, no exaust or manifold leaks. seems to be sumwhat louder under the truck .i miss my truck already please help

plenty of oil?
When you open a container of oil, they sometimes have foil or plastic sealant, I hope one didn't go in and block something.

i hope its not a rod or piston ? cummins just dont blow major componets after 140k mi but u never know.pulled off trans inspection plate and found t/c to flex plate loose .since ive done mods t/c has been slipping more ,trans shifting also getting worse. today ill inspect and tighten them bolts. guess i could drop the pan and do a visual on pistons rods check fo play . thanks for the reply. hava nice day.

i havent changed the oil for 2000mi check my oil every time i put fuel in . it doesnt burn any since i replaced valve cover gaskets, .i was going to change oil and anti freeze this weekend. i buy my oil by the gal and u have no foil or plug.thanks hava nice day.

This is the most likely thing so far, they sound like they are coming apart if the TC bolts are loose, get em tightened up very soon, or it will be flexplate time.

If that doesn't solve the issue, try and get a youtube clip up so we can hear the sound.
