electical trouble!!!
yeah so my dome lights dont work light bulbs are fine all of my fuses are good and the other day my truck threw the p 0122 code so i went down to auto zone to have them clear it and now i know that my obd2 port doesnt work? any help? thanks guys..............
The obdII connector has a wire that feeds voltage to power up the scan tool, that may be why it does not work. That circuit might be tied in with your dome lights somehow.
Ok according to somedata there is a fuse #12 should be a 10amp in the junction block that supplies power to the dome lamp and data link connector(OBDII). It's a pink wire in socket C7 out of the junction block to a joint connector which has the data link wire coming off of it and wires to your dome lamp. The joint connector is labeled #5 so I would chech that you had power to the joint connector from the fuse block. Looks like that pink wire goes into socket #3 on the joint connector #5. Check your fuse, I'll see where this junction block is, it does not say underhood so it might be in the cab? I'll see if I can find out.
#16 on your data link connector is battery positive. It's kinda hard to explain, but if you look at the connector the face will have a wide spot and a narrow. The #16 position is on the narrow row to the left, looks like the last pin on the left. Check for voltage. You need to find that connector I mentioned earlier, if you got B+ out of the fuse block(and it is the underhood fuse #12) Check under the dash or out front for a large connector with that pink wire. See if you have B+ into and out of that connector( junction #5) Hope this helps out. Let me know.

You are the man!!!
I installed a new stereo about 2 hours ago, and when I was pushing the head unit into the hole my dome light went out and the radio wouldn't work. Now, I know better than installing a radio with the battery connected, but it was dark and I let that override my better judgement
.I thought fine, it's just a blown fuse. Well, I checked the junction block and found that the radio fuse was blown. I replaced it, and the radio worked, but the dome light still wouldn't. I then noticed that my map lights didn't work either. I searched for about an hour in my service manual trying to figure out which fuse it was. I checked all the fuses in the junction block except #12. I skipped it because it had the little black holder thing and I didn't feel like fooling with it
.To make a long story slightly less long, I logged on and used the ol' search function. I found this thread and immediately went outside and sure enough, #12 was blown. Replaced it and all is well.
You unknowingly saved me no doubt several more hours of frustration. I just wanted to say THANK YOU! This is what makes this site so great
.Brad
