Egt question again
Ok I know this is somewhat of a bandaid for my problem but my truck will peg the egt gauge really quick. Will a 18cm housing drop my egts quite a bit over my 16cm housing.? I dont care too much about driveability because I rarely need to get on go peddle around town. Twins are in the future, but it is quite a while away and I figured someone would trade me for my 12cm housing or my 16cm current one.
Thanks
Thanks
Unless your high EGT is due to being off the map (over 35 psi) the 18 cm housing will not help much. If you have no problems at low RPM but it's running hot up top it would be worth trying.
My problem is top end only when the peddle is on the floor. I just need something that is more I guess idiot proof right now. I was just doing some hill climbs and all of the excitement got to my head and I looked over at my egt guage and it was pegged. Like I said just a bandaid for a while unil I can get more boost somehow.
with them 40's and big fuel, you might have to back off that plate a little till you can get a bigger huffer on there, or a pair of em......
I had the same problem when I put my big injectors and dv's in. had to back the plate up quite a bit to save the top end barbcue show, or just not go to the top end. I'll have to be patient 'till the twins fly out of the sky. I'm really plagued tho, cuz I still have the little 12 hsg. Trying not to double buy anything ya know?? I would think, especially with the your tires, that an 18 would lag pretty bad......just a guess tho. My .02
