It's a big difference over the banks ottomind. I can make cars dissapear on 5x5. I can see myself getting in alot of trouble now.
I have my max egt shut off at 1250 and can get there pretty quick. Is that a good temp or can I raise it. What is the hottest you can get a stock turbo for a short period and not damage it??
My boost is also not as high as it was with the banks. I used to get around 34 to 36 psi when I was getting into it. It seems that I hit my egt limit before I can get my boost up. I am still getting 28 to 30. Mabye more but I have not had enough time to drive it.
What do you think is the best way to get my egt's down and my boost up?
What kind of boost numbers do you guys run on the drag and juice boxes?
What about egt's what do you set your limits at and how long do you peg the limit?

 

Ive got mine set at 1350 but I have only hit once or twice. I dont run it on five to often. Full trottle I make 34 lbs of boost. It is a lot of fun isnt it.

 

I want to go drive it right now, but it bike week here and there are cops everywhere.
I did not see a turbo upgrade in your sig. Why don't you run it on 5x5, too much smoke and egt's?

 

I can hit 34lbs with my stock turbo, but it's not often. Usually it's around 31 to 32. I've only hit the 1250 warning once and that was when I was running laps trying to get my torque converter to slip.

 

No, it doesnt make enough smoke for me. I just usually drive on one and sometimes on three. Only when some fool needs adjusting do i put it on 5. Probably cause I hate fuel prices and I am always saying to myself "Your VP Your VP its going to die." I think over worry about somestuff.

 

What level was that on? Mabye is because of my injectors that I can peg my egt's so quick.
I wonder how I could get the boost of the banks box with the edge?

 

have you messed with your boost limit? however, the highest ive gone is 31, maybe 32 psi, so we may be in the same boat. however, i have never stayed on full throttle for very long at any one time. that may contribute.

I can hit 31 in level 3 and up. I was in Level 6 when I pegged 34 and it was from a rolling start. Never have figured out why it is, but I seem to hit higher boost numbers when I have to get on it to pass some idiot or sunday driver.

I tow and drive in 3 and frequently run in level 5 or 6. It just feels so good to drive that Hot Rod Lincoln, oops Dodge, in the higher levels.

 

I got my boost up to 34 today, but usually it stays around 30-32 because I can't stay into it any longer.

What kind of egts do you run?

I finially got out today and I can pretty much run full out on level 3 with minimal egt problems. Level 4 I have to let up on the right foot some and level 5 I have to let up on the right foot alot and my fuel pressure goes to 4 and sounds the alarm. On 3 and 4 my fuel pressure drops to 5 to 7. I think level 6 will be pretty much useless in my truck until I upgrade my fuel and get a bigger turbo....

 

I went out to show off to a buddy who has a powerstroke and ended up at 37 psi in 4th gear around 3100 rpm but i had to stop because he was ruining my dash from his finger grooves. I am very impressed with this unit but I think I am going to put in edge's stage 2 or 3 injectors for a bit more smoke

 

What kind of egts are you getting? What is your set up I did not see a sig.

 

the egt hit the 1300 mark, the truck is a 1998.5 2500 5 speed extended cab long box other than the juice it is stock (except for the "Bling Bling" like the stainless stell box rail caps, wilson antennas, air horn, back rack, etc.)

 

Was that on level five?

 

ya it was on level five. Was out for a rip 2day and i just dont get tired of this thing!!!

 

my buddy put the juice with attitude on his stock 04 and on 5X5 it will throw a pathetic little cloud out...
