Edge Juice w/Attitude Installed Today

I installed my Edge Juice w/Attitude today. I took about 45 minutes to do the install. Get the ladder and tools out, etc. I took my time and made sure I followed the instructions exactly. Very simple install. Started up and everything exactly as the manual said. I had no codes or any problems. Tie wrapped/velcroed everything and was done. I did not install the pyro. I will use my pyro gauge to monitor this for now. My dealer has already done injector replacement with my gauges installed. So I can remove the Juice and Attitude in about 15-20 minutes and look just like I did before.

Tested all 5 levels a little, too much traffic on the road to do real performance testing on all levels.

Level 1 Mileage = Smooth running, maybe a little more responsive. I hope this will really improve mpg.
Level 2 Tow = Smooth with a little more power at mid range, dont have anything to tow, so not sure if I need this level.
Level 3 Drive = I like this level, first time I have really seen any BLACK smoke. Just a good puff when WOT from stop. Feels good, definitely much quicker acceleration.
Level 4 Race = The puff of BLACK smoke got much bigger and the 315s are very easy to break loose. Might be my normal setting.
Level 5 Extreme = I gotta find a ricer to smoke. Ok this setting does make the 48RE slip a little and on asfault I am sure I could keep the 315s spinning until I let off.

I nailed it from dead stop, no power brake. From stop to about 85 at all levels. It got there quicker on each level(Of Course). EGTs under 1200 on level 1,2 and 3. EGTs did not get over 1275 on level 4 and got close to 1300 on level 5. Boost never got over 33psi.

I will play as much as possible in the next couple of weeks. Going the track on the 27th, maybe next Sunday and get some real world numbers to compare.

Local group planning a Dyno Day soon and I will find out the actual hp/torque numbers then.

For now all I can do is:

midwestdually,

I have Autometer pyro, 60psi boost and trans temp along with the digital gauges provided by the Attitude. The boost psi is close to identical on both gauges, the engine temp matches the dash gauge. At some point I will add the second pyro sensor in the manifold for the Attitude EGT reading.

I also recentley installed the Edge Juice with Attitude on my 2005. I am very pleased with the results. I have not seen the EGT go over 1300. Dyno results as follows:

Other wise stock 2005 600.

Stock - 272.47 H.P.

Lvl 3 - 353.15 H.P.

Lvl 4 - 371.92 H.P.

Lvl 5 - 399.10 H.P

Preformed 2/11/05 on Dynojet.

Well it way to early to tell, but I definitely made it slip on level 5. I assume that the defuel feature on the Attitude backed off when it started to slip, but I backed off as well.

When I get to the track I will see how it handles power boost launches. ATS Stage V racing trans, Triple LOC TC and billet shafts are what I go to sleep thinking about a lot of nights.

Kiss that tranny good bye. Mine lasted a while with the Power Pup but got a complete rebuild within 5-6 months of use. Some of the damage was caused while towing when the rig was stock.

TXBoozer,

I see you are in Houston also. What area are you in, where did you get the dyno done?

There is a local Texas chapter group from DodgeTruckWorld site that has local GTGs. Some at HRP and a dyno day is being worked on for March time frame.

Let me know if you are interested.

TXBoozer,

You are in the same area that the performance diesel guys from www.hotroddiesels.com live. They installed my gauges. Michael has a twin turbo 11.77 1/4 daily driver. If you ever want some advice or help with performance mods let me know and I will find there number.

I will keep you posted if/when they get a dyno day setup.

John

TXBoozer,
That place is Houston Performance. I used to work with the guy that owns the shop.

MikeyB,

I am off BeltWay and Hammerly, pretty close to that shop. Are they into Cummins diesel performance? I am looking for a performance shop closer to me than Clear Lake or Willis.

Yea I have heard only good things about his work. It is just a hassle to get there from here. Almost as bad as getting south from here. Thanks for the info.
