Houston Performance is into hotrodding Ford Mustangs and Lightnings.
I don't know of any diesel performance shops on the NW side of Houston.

I only tried the extreme setting once. From a dead stop, no power brake WOT to about 85mph the EGTs got close to 1300. This is with the afe air intake and Banks exhaust.

Before the afe air intake and Banks exhaust (stock) I would see 1350 on WOT from 0 to 85mph.

So bottom line I am happy with the EGTs that the Juice produces. Seems to keep EGTs well under control.

Well I still have'nt got those guages yet. Trying to work a little OT so I can get them or the edge/juice. I was wondering what your engine temp was when you were running in that 1300 range on your egt's so I at least have somthing to run on until I can get the guages. I'm not sure if you can even go off of engine temp just curious. Under normal driving conditions my engine temp runs around 185. When I run it hard it gets up to 210 or so.

I dont know exactly what the engine temp reading was, it did go a littel over 200, maybe 205 for a brief period and then dropped back to the 195-200 range.

I think you just validated something I've been thinking for a long time. With the Juice and AFE w/TQ tube and Silverline Kool duals the highest I've seen in EGTs is 1090 and that was at 100mph. The difference in our trucks is the hood. I'm pretty darn sure that ventilation that is provided by the SRT-10 hood is responsible for lower egts as the entire engine package can ventilate. I have never had the EGTs I see guys post since getting this hood. Make sense?

I would like to have a SRT-10 hood, think it looks good. It makes sense to me.

There is a place that does diesel mods on the northwest side of Houston. Diesel Inovations on Windfern not far from the Beltway near Fallbrook. I hav a buddy who had some work done to his Excursion there and was real happy with thier work.

http://www.dieselinnovations.com

I also would like sometime to hook up with you Houston guys and chat a bit. I live at 290 and 1960 area.

Flame,

I have been over at that shop. They are big time ford performance shop. They did an ATS Stage V trans for a Dodge owner a few months ago and he was happy with their work. I will probably talk to them about ATS trans upgrades.

I know a few places that are Cummins oriented, it is just not easy to get to any of them.

Of course the main problem is $$$$$$ not where they are at.

Chubby,

I think maybe I see better mpg on level 1 on my Juice w/Attitude, but it is very hard to tell. Very hard to leave it on level 1 and keep the lead foot off the floor.
