I purchased an edge ez from a friend to stack with my pm3 comp. His truck was a 2001 and mine is a 2000. He thought it would work. It appears the plugs are different. Mine are the triangular 3 plug and the 2001 are flat 3 plug. Any ideas for a quick fix? Straight wire? Plug swap? or maybe the programs are totally different?
May just have to get my money back, but it was a good deal. If it wont work, it wont work.
Any suggestions from the edge guru's?

 

Call edge. They have an adapter for just such an occasion. Don't know cost but it shouldn't be that much.

 

I was told by edge that the EZ for a 2001 will only work on the 2001-02. Something about voltage sensors are different.

 

I will call edge and verify and post either way. Thanks for input.

 

The map sensor voltages changed in 2001.

 

i had the same type of thing happen to me, bought a chip for a 2000 and mine is an 02, well it didnt work, SO i called edge and they swaped me straight across, no questions asked, I told them my situation, and they said either mail it to us and we'll send you another one or bring it in to our office (3hrs away) well i just decided to take a road trip Edge customer service is awsome.
