Edge EZ or Comp?

I'm undecided on which one to get. No real mods to the truck yet so the EZ sounds good for now.
But I'd like to Bomb her in the future, so maybe the Comp would be the way to go.
Can I run the Comp like an EZ until the mods are done? Or should I just get the EZ for now and try to sell it when I buy the Comp later?

Thanks

I have the EZ, and love it in combo with larger injectors. I have heard many on this site say that if you run the comp without connecting the pump wire, it operates the same as an EZ. So, if you are planning on bombing more in the future, I'd go ahead and get the comp, and just don't hook up the pump wire until you have the other mods in place, gauges, transmission upgrade, etc.

Get the Comp and yes it can be run just like an EZ, you just don't hook up the pump wire...... If you don't get the Comp now I bet you will wish you had in the future

I'll 3rd that!!!!

I bought an EZ and it only took 6 months before I was ready for the comp. Paid 525 for the EZ and sold it for 350.

If you have the itch already, your wasting your time on the EZ.

Now, lets see if you can fight the urge to hook up that pump wire.

Thanks for the responses

Well, this is what I'm afraid of...hooking up the pump wire and then who knows!!

What are the going prices for the EZ and the Comp?

Get the comp. If your gonna do more bombs later, go ahead and get it now and be done with it. Just run it without the wire tapped, no biggy. Better yet, get the drag comp. I have had all three. I should have got the drag comp first!

The Comp will give you the sub-levels even plugged in like an EZ, so it will be a little quicker on the bottom end. They are set for the same amount of timing as an EZ.

I heard (second Hand) that newer Edge Comp Boxs are having high failure rates...new overseas manufacturing, I think.
Don't want to spread unfounded rumors...wondered if anyone has had bad expirience??

reason i went with the drag comp right off ...

box on 1X1 is ez

box off is stock ... that's where mine is 99.9%

but the #1 reason for having a drag

when some idiot thinks it is necessary to drive 2 feet behind you on an empty road ...

you can explain why it's not a such a good idea in terms that even a dipstick like that can understand
