if someone is selling an Edge ez for a 2001 is it compatable with my 2002. just wondering cause i have this impression that all the 98.5-00 are compatable but the 01s have a seperate one and the 02s have a seperate one as well.

just wanting to know i wasn't for sure

Im not 100% but i think the differance is in the plugs that hook to trucks wiring

 

that's what i thought is that in 01 and 02 the wiring was different.

and so say hypothetically i bought an EZ for an 01 dodge will it or won't it work on my 02?

 

You can get an adapter from Edge to use an 02 EZ on an 01, I don't know about going the other way though.

Electronics on 01 & 02 are identical...just different MAP plugs. Edge has an adapter that goes either way!

Call Edge. They can supply the MAP sensor adapter. I used one on my first EZ - before Edge replaced it with a 2002-specific model.

i called edge and the adapter is in the mail free of charge which i was surprised with . i figured they'd for sure charge for it.

now all i need is for guys to reply to the inquiries i've made to all the classified ads

 

I think you'll enjoy the performance gain and the reliability of the EZ. Mine's been in for five years now w/no issues. Adding the DD2's was an enormous improvement but requires driveline upgrades. I had to run the vehicle into Dodge for warranty work once and it was a total dog without the box. DD2's alone didn't do much. Throw the box back on and wham!

 

that's awesome i'm siked...but like i said it seems like it takes ppl along time to reply on those classified ads. they must be busy or maybe my PMs aren't working...who knows?
