I have had my Edge Comp for at least 3 years, maybe longer. Has Edge had any kind of updates that would be worth sending the unit in to get?

What is the Hot Comp upgrade? What does it do for you?

 

it gives you a higher hp level, and it makes the truck defuel at 3200 rpm, instead of 2700 rpm....from everyone i have talked to with them it was well worth the $100.

 

So the current level 5 HPlevel of 120 is raised higher by this update, along with the defueling, and for a 100 bucks? That seems reasonable for basically a better performing unit. Does it do anything to help throughout the various 5 levels? Thanks

 

i have heard that it makes the other levels alot "stronger" also. and i think the defueling is changed in the lower levels also, if im not mistaken...

Yeah, but it is called the "Hot Comp" through Edge now. It is $125 for the upgrade now, but still worth it.

 

I called Edge today. They told me there was a software update for an older unit like mine & it was free. They told me for 100 bucks that they would do the DRAG COMP FLASH. I didn't have my unit in hand with the numbers so they couldn't tell me much, but when I call back tomorrow, I will have my unit in hand, my Edge Unit that is, so they can tell me what they can do for sure. If this is basically like running a Drag Comp, can someone who has run both comps tell me what the difference is and is it worth the 100 bucks? Thanks
